Alison & Neil Wedding at The Quicken Tree

The Alison & Neil Wedding took place on the 27th of May 2021, during a time when face masks were still the norm and guest lists had to be small. But none of that could dim the joy. Weddings, even with restrictions, brought so much love and light to the world—and this one was no exception.

A Beautiful Spring Celebration in Warwickshire

If I remember right, Alison found me through social media—maybe Facebook, or possibly Instagram. After chatting online, I popped round to meet her and Neil in person. They only live around the corner, so I walked up and was greeted with the warmest, most welcoming smiles. Their kindness was obvious from the start.

During our chat, they mentioned how important it was to them to support local businesses for their wedding. That meant so much, especially in the wake of lockdowns when many small businesses were finding their feet again. They booked me shortly after, and although the pandemic meant we had to shift the date once or twice, it all came together perfectly in the end.

Getting Ready and Gorgeous Details

On the morning of the Alison & Neil Wedding, I popped in to photograph Alison and her amazing children. Their home was beautifully decorated with personal touches—a memory ladder, a gorgeous cake, and a lovely calm energy.

Once I’d captured those special getting-ready moments, I made my way to The Quicken Tree to meet Neil and their guests. Despite the masks and distancing, the joy was unmistakable. You could feel the love in every interaction.
