How We Handle Your Data Under GDPR

At LB Photography, your privacy is a top priority. We collect and process your data in full accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. This GDPR policy explains how we collect, use, and store your personal data. It also outlines your rights and how you can exercise them.

If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch. You’ll also find more info on how your personal data might appear in photography on our FAQs.

Confirmation of Consent

By using this website or booking any of our services, you confirm that you’re at least 16 years old. You also acknowledge that you’ve read and accepted our:

  • End User Licence Agreement (EULA)

  • Terms and Conditions

  • Acceptable Use Policy

  • Data Processing Addendum

This consent allows us to process your data in ways that support your session or service.

How We Collect and Use Personal Data

We only collect the personal data we need to deliver a smooth and joyful experience—from initial enquiry through to final delivery. This may include your name, contact details, and session preferences.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold

  • Ask us to update or delete your information

  • Withdraw consent at any time

If you choose to withdraw consent, we’ll stop processing your data. However, please note that this may affect our ability to provide the services you’ve booked.

GDPR and Your Rights

We fully support your rights under the GDPR, including:

  • The right to be informed

  • The right to access

  • The right to rectification

  • The right to erasure

  • The right to restrict processing

  • The right to data portability

  • The right to object

You can learn more about your rights directly from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please email info@leanne.photography. We’ll respond as quickly as possible to resolve any issues.

Should we not resolve your concern to your satisfaction, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO, the UK’s data protection authority.

Complaints and Feedback

We document all complaints so we can resolve them quickly and improve future experiences. If needed, we may share relevant information with trusted third parties who assist in complaint resolution.

To help us grow, we may also analyse feedback in aggregate—but we’ll never publish your personal info without permission.

How We Protect Your Privacy

We never sell or trade your data with third parties. We use your information solely to deliver the services you’ve requested. If the law requires us to share data (such as with HMRC or law enforcement), we’ll comply appropriately.

To help secure your data, we use password-protected systems and encrypted cloud storage. Our website uses SSL encryption for safe browsing.

When We Process Information Under a Contract

When you book a session or make a purchase, we enter into a contract. To fulfil this agreement, we process your information to:

  • Confirm your identity

  • Take payment

  • Deliver your session or product

  • Send post-shoot updates or gallery links

Once the contract ends, we either archive or delete your data, unless required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.

If you’re curious about how this fits into your booking, check out our wedding photography packages for more detail.

Children’s Data Policy

Our services are designed for adults. If you’re under 18, we need a parent or guardian’s consent for any bookings or communication. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from minors without proper consent.

When We Must Share Your Data

Sometimes, we may be legally required to share your information with authorised authorities. For example, HMRC, law enforcement, or fraud prevention organisations. We’ll always act responsibly and transparently in these situations.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your personal data only for as long as needed—whether to deliver your service, meet tax obligations, or handle legal matters. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it at any time by emailing info@leanne.photography
