Today’s blog is going back to the 27th of May 2021. The wedding of The Streetings.
Back in May, it was time when masks were still required and only a select few could come to your wedding but it didn’t matter. Weddings brought so much joy and happiness in a world of crazy.
So, let me tell you about a very sunny day in May, 27th May to be precise (and a tiny bit before). If I remember rightly, Alison found me on social media (Facebook… or was it Instagram…) anyway, we chatted for a bit and as they only live round the corner, I walked up to their house and was greeted by some wonderful smiley faces. They are such a warm and welcoming family, it was wonderful to chat with them. From speaking with them, I found out that it was important to them that support small and local businesses with so many struggling in the aftermath of the pandemic. How amazing is that?! After that, they got booked in but due to the wonders of Covid, we did have a change of date or two but when the day finally arrived it was beautiful and so worth the wait.
I went to see Alison and her amazing children for a few snaps before heading off to The Quicken Tree. The house was all decorated up, they had a beautiful cake, a memory ladder and the house looked amazing. After spending time with Alison, I got in my car and headed over to The Quicken Tree to meet Neil and the guests.
It was a wonderful day and even though there were restrictions, the face masks and the distance, everyone had a beautiful day. Now… lets look at their wedding snaps!

A very yummy cake from Danielle at the Crumby Baker in Weddington, Nuneaton.
Alison looked stunning in her dress from Susan Grayley in Spon Street, Coventry.

I do love confetti!
As you can see, they had such a joyous day, the weather was amazing and everyone was in amazing spirts. It was a perfect small wedding.
